Damian Priest, the man who famously teamed up with celebrity guest, Bad Bunny, in a memorable bout at WrestleMania 37, actually had some other ideas for the show!
He tried to persuade his former NXT boss, Triple H into a last minute match at the 'Show of Shows.'
“I was like, ‘I mean, did you bring your gear? Because you can have a match, I’m right here!’ He started laughing and said, ‘You’re on a list of people that have asked me that.’ I was like, I bet, I can imagine – he gets it all the time by guys being like, ‘Hey you wanna work? You wanna wrestle?'”
Triple H obviously hasn't wrestled a match since his legendary match, two years ago, at WrestleMania 35 against Dave Bautista.
Although Priest's attempts to provoke him into a match at Mania did not work this year, he still hopes to square off against 'The Game' one day.
He also has some other legends, he would love to face in the squared circle. Some of them are Edge, Shawn Michaels and Kane.
"We’ve already kind of had an interaction at the Rumble – is Edge.“Obviously Kane, we had a little bit of an interaction. But I’m not satisfied, I need a lot more of that!
Priest is set to defend his United States Title against Sheamus at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
